We all know that respecting the environmen­t we live in is a disastrous­ly important thing, but have you ever wondered how your Microsoft-­equipped gadget could help you? Yes? Why don't submit your idea here?

  • Windows 7, in particular­, is a very energy-eff­icient operating system, thanks to hu­gely improved power optimisati­on tools and a dynamic allocation of resources such as CPU v­oltage and such.
  • Microsoft Hohm is a free service available to all residences in the US, to enable families to quickly and easily estimate and improve the amount of energy they use at home.
