Tips and tricks for Visual Studio 2010

The new Visual Studio applicatio­n supplies new tools and features that will help in developing future applicatio­ns. Here are some of the tips and tricks too using Visual Studio 2010:

Zoom in and out:

 There are various ways of zooming in and out in Visual Studio 10.

·         Use keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift­+period (zoom in) and Ctrl+Shift­+comma (zoom out)

·         Type a zoom level directly in the zoom control in the bottom left corner of the editor

·         Select a zoom level from the dropdown list in the zoom control 

•       Hold down Ctrl and scroll your mouse wheel

Customize the start page

 You can customize the XAML page very simply. In the start page you can provide reminders for the team you are working with. The start page can also be customized to contain company logos and document repositori­es.

 You can manage how recent projects are displayed on the start page. By moving your mouse over to the box to the left of the project, a pin will appear and you can click it to pin the project down. You can also remove projects from the list and open their containing folder from the start page.
