Remote Desktop access produces database connection errors

I am trying to access a remote server from within visual studio 10; however, when I click on the server explorerer all I see is the local server database and not the remote server database I need. ;

I am accessing the server's database from the remote desktop, but I can not able to see the correct server databases from within visual studio 10. &#160; ;I can see only the servers listed in my network, which are the wrong servers.&#160; I have noticed there is no place to enter the gateway information or the tcpip.

Any answers: bwheeler07

Re: Remote Desktop access produces database connection errors

Dumb question, but did you try connecting to the server?60;I'm sure you understand that you need to actually locate it and connect to it, while the local server is achievable by your computer alone. I haven't used 2010, but is there a "Connect to Server" button like in 2005? ;From there, you should be able to enter the server name/ip address and login accordingly. If that's not available, let me know.
