System reinstalla­tion and activation 

I reinstalle­d my Windows Server 2008 R2 and found that I cannot active my OS with my key. Is it true this key will be invalid if I reinstalle­d my OS?

I'm having the same activation issue for Windows Server 2008 R2.

I just emailed microsoft about this....wa­iting for reply.

UPDATE:

Customer Service issued a new Key to me in Dream Spark.  It took about 2 weeks.
